BEST PLACE/S TO GO( PART 2)!!

  To my dear readers,

Yes I am back again! part two of the' best places to go too'. Ok I hope my stories so far is interesting and not so boring. I'm still quite new to blogging so please bare with me. Sometimes getting new ideas seem so difficult but I am trying my very best. So hope you all enjoy!=)

Well I know I have spoken about New Zealand in my previous post but now I am going to talk about a place that most children dream to be in and maybe some adults too!! Its called 'DISNEY LAND'.
Yes yes I know you all must be wondering why a teenager is so excited to blog about Disney Land. haha. I guess I can say that if you actually visited this 'fun land' you will why I am so excited.

As any child we all loved CARTOONS! We all had our favourite disney shows and characters. If your wondering what is my favourite show in Disney is Sleeping Beauty!! Now don't think I am sleepy head cause I am not! My favourite character is mickey mouse of course.

I visited the US of A back when I was little – like seven years old. Yeah, in Standard One! Goodness me that sure seems such a long, long time ago. But I can’t remember many parts of this family trip but I sure remember Disneyland!

Disneyland is a fun place, a theme park situated in Anaheim in California. It’s well designed and HUGE. There are just so many attractions and rides that one can get on.  The many attractions included Indiana Jones Adventure, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Magic Mountain (where Mickey Mouse keeps climbing the mountain to meet Minnie Mouse). So fun.
As you walk around the theme park you can sometimes meet your favourite character. I managed to meet most of them Sleeping Beauty, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Pluto, Rafiki (from The Lion King), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Jasmine (Alaiddin), Pochantas, and of course Mickey Mouse… and the list goes on.
Oh yes, did I mention that I managed to pose with Sleeping Beauty and that photograph is framed and sits on a self in my dining room!
There was a very scary part (well, I was only seven) when we walked past a beautiful castle in the park and we could see one of the curtained windows and after very few minutes the curtain would move and the witch from Sleeping Beauty pops her head out. And you guys know just how scary she is, right?
I also managed to sit down and have a portrait of my self done. We brought it back so carefully but guess what? My mum can’t find it. SHE MISPLACED IT!!
We ate lots of American food there too like pretzels and burgers (which tasted soooo nice) and down it all with lots of fizzy drinks (you can always get refills).
I also visited many other theme parks in California such as Knotts Berry Farm and Universal Studios etc but to me Disneyland was the ULTIMATE!!!  Hopefully, you all can visit or take your children there  in the years to come  .It was just AWESOME.

BEST PLACE TO GO!! PART 1

from qq
HEY EVERYBODY!! IT'S ME AGAIN.And this time since the topic is about best place/s to go to  I am recollecting the two times that I went to New Zealand.

The first time I visited the place it was in 2007 and I decided to visit it again last year. Please don't go to NZ thinking it's like going to LA .It is totally different cause it's preety laid back. BELIEVE ME you would be totally stress free..haha .imagine going to a mall and getting a parking space easily even at peek hours and there are no long queues at their checkout counters.

Getting around the city of Auckland is easy too as you can either walk and walk (the weather is great to walk), take buses and of course if you have a car you can drive.

Some people say NZ is like heaven on earth so you REALLY  need to get out of the city and travel the countryside for the beautiful scenery -miles and miles of green green pastures dotted with white (the sheep BAAAAHHHH)  that meet blue blue skies (in summer) , rolling mountains and of course snow capped mountains (in winter).

,                The last time I went in August I soooo wanted to see snow. We managed to travel 4 hours out of Auckland  to a mountain where we were playing on the ice and with the sledges when it suddenly started to snow!I t was an amazing feeling! IT WAS WHAT I REALLY WHAT I LONGED TO SEE AND DREAMT IT TO BE!.

Hungry and cold after that wonderful experience, we were then ready to fill our growling tummies. So we drove down to a town near Lake Taupo where we chomped into a nice hot, spicy Indian meal. Ha ha what can I say... we are Indians and we missed our Indian food especially for cold days like these. .IT WAS JUST PERFECT!!! Oh and by-the-way, there is such variety of food in Auckland from Malaysian, Sri Lankan to Korean food

The other adventure was on my first trip to NZ. It was a visit to Rotorua. As you drive into the city the pungent smell of sulphur hits your NOSTRILS. It is the city of hot springs and geysers. There are many attractions here for example the luge and the sheep agrodome. The luge was awesome cause we took cable cars to the top of the hill, donned helmets and quickly jumped into  little cars on motorised tracks and came charging down the hill. It was exhilarating!
.

On  both occasions in NZ, I went with my  family and  we stayed with my uncle who lives in Auckland's suburb of Howick which is about an hour's drive from the city. Close to where he lives is our regular HAUNT ,THE BOTANY SHOPPING CENTRE! That's right people shopping! Hehe, That is where I spent most of my hours browsing around  the stores. I picked up alot of clothes in outlets such as J]Jayjays, Dotti, Amazon, Valley Girl (all the "in" shops for teens).

Well my dad went crazy when he went to souvenir shops buying HONEY, HONEY AND MORE HONEY!. Yes, yes well I can’t blame him cause NZ has one of the best honey! Haha, explains it all right.

Oh yeah, you must visit Sky Tower which is in the heart of the city. From that vantage point you get a panoramic view of the whole city. Beautiful... with the lakes and seas and the pretty white sails boats all over.
Well if you ask me why I chose  NZ  as the best place to visit it's because it's just an amazing country and you might just feel like you're in heaven. It's so amazing that you can actually find CLEAN rivers and you can't find  ANY RUBBISH  thrown all over the place.  And the people there are so nice and friendly . Believe  me you can never get bored because you can waste all your time going site-seeing and you can even travel down south!

Although I know many people say it’s quite boring because it's a very slow moving country and there is nothing much to do, it’s still a lovely place for you to just get away from everything . Just believe me, you will never ever regret going there, however, just get ready to see a whole lotta SHEEP! They say the sheep in NZ outnumber the people! Hahaha.  However I know it will be an expensive trip but it will be an experience of a lif time.

All I can say is if any of yo  plan to travel to NZ  just save up some money and GO AND VISIT   NEW ZEALAND!!

This was a picture of the mountain while it was snowing.

COLLEGE LIFE PART 2!

         Hey there everyone,

It's me again with my lovely tales about college life.Well this is week 2 and its been hectic so far as there are so many assignments coming up! Can you imagine this is only week 2!!But oh well I guess this is college life and I just got to live with it! .My classes started on the 4th of April and  I managed to meet all my lectures and classmates.

For this semester I am taking five papers which are Fundamentals in Management, College Study Skills, Introduction to Information Technology, Mass Communications and Creative Communication and Portfolio Development (which is this paper). The  lecturers whom i have had classes with are really nice are.THANK GOD FOR THAT!.

Well during the  first week , there were no tutorials which was a good thing for me as I  don't have to come early to college. But of course we were told to check our BLACKBOARD 7 everyday!!Now it looks like I will be checking this more often than my Facebook! haha. But once again that's college life! Basically we had  introduction to the papers that I am  taking. We had some ice breaking activities which was pretty fun and I got to know more about my friends and their hidden talents. Well as for this paper I haven't met my lecturer yet but I'm looking forward to seeing him this coming week. I just hope he is nice!!(fingers-crossed).

This week was the second week of my college life and there are more things to do now. My tutorials have started that's means coming early to college =( but that's fine rather than me getting up at 6.30 in the morning for school.I think tutorials are useful for us because we can discuss with the lecturers if we have any problems with the chapters that we have learnt the week before. This is something that we don't really get in schools.

Although there is so much to do it's still a learning experience for us newbies and it will definitely help us in the near future. Also this week I discovered a little shop that sells bubble tea and just for your recommendation chocolate Oreo with the black pearl inside is AWESOME!!! This was my first time having such a drink. Well peeps I guess I have to continue with my other college work.I will definitely post in more stuff next week.I just hope I have something interesting next week to blog about! Till then enjoy week 3 and will keep you all posted soon.

Yours truly

COLLEGE LIFE!

It feels just like yesterday that I sat for my SPM! I remember just telling everyone that I am going to enjoy myself and I am not going to think about college. I told them that there are still 3 months more so I will just wait till my results come out. Well, 3 months went by so quickly and there was the nervousness of collecting my results... and now,  I am in COLLEGE!!
The orientation was held over two days -  March 31 and  April 1. For those of you who don’t know, I am studying at the  TAYLOR'S LAKESIDE CAMPUS!! I am doing my Diploma in Mass Communications. One thing I can tell you about the campus is, it is REALLY nice. I mean the environment and the surroundings are amazing. I have never seen a campus or any other college ofr that matter that has the same features.
On the first day of orientation I was obviously very nervous because I didn't know what to expect. I wondered about my new collegemates and was anxious about making friends as I didn't want to be alone.  I prayed so hard that i would make some nice new friends. Well to my surprise I met one of my classmates from secondary school there but he  was doing a different course. We were just hanging out together and then I  made  friends  with a girl who was doing her foundation in mass communication. I was so excited that at least I had two people I could be around with. However, later on I made more friends who were doing the same course as me and we have all have became quite close.
One thing for sure that caught my eye was the FOOD at campus. There is such variety of food -  Chinese, Korean, Western, and in the food court there is a  mamak shop, Japanese, and more Western. I also found FAMOUS AMOS!!! I could just smell it from miles away.
So on the 1st day of the orientation, I decided to try out Ohana which was on the same row as Old Town White Coffee. It has more of a Hawaiian concept. I tried out their pancakes and two of my other friends tried out their sandwiches. The pancakes were delicious!!!!  It was very filling and done well.  According to my friends, the sandwiches were really tasty too although I am guessing the prices at the food court are more reasonable.
Let me just give you some other examples of food outlets that are around campus. There are places such as Starbucks, Subway, Baskin Robbins, Hoagies, Noodle Station and many more. It feels like as if I am in shopping mall! Isn’t that cool? At least I don’t have to worry about the unhealthy, boring canteen- like food that I have never eaten at all in school.
On the second day of the orientation, I had a good time as there were many other activities that we had to participate in for instance, team building. This is where most of us work  together and make new friends. We even met  the Dean and she managed to introduce some of the lectures who were going to teach us. Well I think most of us were anxious because we were wondering whether our lecturers were going to be nice.. There was even a short talk about clubs and societies that we can join and believe me I have never seen so many clubs  and societies  in my life! Since we have to join at least one club, I have decided to join the music club. I hope I will have fun in this club. If you are wondering why I chose this club is basically because I LOVE MUSIC!!
Anyway this is all i have to say for now. I will keep you all posted from time to time.Till then take care and have a nice day
